Measurability

UHG offers a variety of tailored evaluation and reporting tools to assist decision makers in evaluating the benefits of a particular program or the results of a specific initiative.

Reasons for measuring a wellness initiative include:

  • obtaining feedback so that programming efforts can be improved;
  • demonstrating the value of a program;
  • measuring change;
  • securing continued funding;
  • establishing accountability; and
  • comparing the efficacy of different interventions.

There are a number of aspects of an initiative that can be assessed as part of the measurability and evaluation process:

  • participation
  • participant satisfaction
  • changes in behaviour and health practices
  • biometric measures
  • productivity
  • medical claims

Tools that can be utilised to assist in the measurability and evaluation process include:

  • population analysis reports
  • program registration sheets
  • participant feedback surveys - mid and post
  • HRA results, biometric testing and screening results
  • service level agreements
